Generic Instructor Course - Eligibility

Candidate criteria and eligibility

Only those candidates recommended for instructor training from their provider course can attend the Generic Instructor Course.

Once you have been recommended for instructor training, you will receive confirmation from ALSG with dates and venues to book a GIC.

Once you have taught on a minimum of four provider courses within any of the participating groups as a full instructor, you are then eligible to teach on a GIC as an instructor course instructor candidate (GICIC).

You will be required to teach on two GICs in order to gain full GIC instructor status.
